To be honest I havent spent anytime climbing in Waterford in the last 18 months, but thats all changing now, was off the stone cos of injury but back at it now, had my first session in dalkey quarry this week and feeling good! gonna take a while to build the muscle strength back up. So to answer your question, nope… haven’t found anything else but haven’t looked that hard.. if you wanna hook up for a boulder over the summer then give us a shout. cheers

Hi Damien, There's a fair bit of climbing around Waterford, from big adventure feeling trad at Coumshingaun, sports route at Ballykeefe Quarry in Kilkenny and rare pockets of bouldering. The great thing about bouldering is its simplicity, armed with a crash pad, a pair of shoes, maybe some chalk for your pinkies and your set. You ask is there any clubs around? better than that, there's a club with a weekly indoor meet fairly close by, check out http://rathgormackclimbingclub.synthasite.com/ for more info. hi i live in waterford too well i go to the WIT ha! id no idea there was bouldering in tramore i must have a look.iv done boouldering and rockclimbing in new zealand but i wouldnt be expirenced do ye know if theres any clubs over here?

Hi Lee, Lots to do in Ireland for sure, alot of the problems are out of the way so a good guide and possibly a gps are needed, local boulderer even better again, btw love your blog… impressive!!!
