TED, an acronym of Technology, Entertainment and Design. Many of you I expect will be familiar, but for those who new to the joy’s of TED: It’s annual conference but more importantly in this context, a fantastic free online video resource, attracting the crème de la crème of public speakers,and evangelists of all manners.

Paula Scher
One of my all time favourites, an iconic designer, with an unparalleled typographic approach that can adapt and thrive in a perplexing number of applications. Paula Scher was an early inspiration for me, a guide into the beautiful world of typography.

Aimee Mullins
Unique Types is a creative marketing project made by AACD, a brazilian NGO that take care of disabled children. They invited designers to create fonts (free for download) inspired by these children, and now they are pressuring famous publicity agencies to use these fonts on their Ads – as a way to increase the visibility of this action, and make these crippled-fonts fashionable…
